STILE LIBERTY: INTRODUCING THE LATEST COLLECTION
We asked Judith Dahmen who is a passionate quilter to help make some quilts for the International Quilt Market for us . Judith is fanatical about sewing, she also knits, has her own blog called needles and lemons, is a keen photographer and has a full time job! It was astonishing that she managed to find the time! Judith made four quilts for the show in our chosen autumnal theme, appliquéing segmented leaves together. she did a fantastic job! Each of the quilt showcased the four colour ways pastels, brights, cool blues and autumnal reds.
About the new collection: STILE LIBERTY
This collection is inspired by some of our archive prints and the Art Nouveau period, specifically the designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The collection was named ‘Stile’ as Liberty was well known for its association with the Art Nouveau movement so much so that in Italy this movement was known as ‘Stile Liberty’. We thought this would be the ideal name for the second collection of the Lifestyle craft range. There are thirty-two stunning prints in total and all designed by our in house Lifestyle designer.
