NEW YEAR DRESSOLUTIONS!

The rest of the world may be working out new year resolutions, team Liberty is of the feeling that it’s less about a new you, and more about starting with something a little more straightforward and – if well chosen – instantly uplifting.

Yes, we’re talking about a new dress. And why not? Tis, after all, the season to be fashion forward, to embrace the freshness of the extremely appetising spring/summer 2010 collections.  So without further ado, we are proud to present our very own, very lovely Liberty womenswear and lingerie buyer Eleanor Robinson’s NEW YEAR DRESSOLUTIONS.

I love the electric blue colour of this Rag & Bone racer back jersey dress. It looks great on all skin types.

It’s so easy to dress up or down, but I like to give it a rock chick edge with a fab studded Givenchy bag and platform YSL sandals.

I’m loving Acne’s fresh take on snake print this season, and the crew neck knit is ideal for the Spring months (the body and tutu dress are also on my shopping list).  It looks great with jeans or leggings, but I like to give it a pop of colour with these draped silk trousers from exclusive new collection Dress Up.

I’m going to be wearing this rubber bow Benoit Missolin headband a lot this season and adore Rupert Sanderson’s cutout sandals.

This beautiful silk jacquard Willow dress is bang on-trend for Spring with the shoulder pads and cut-out back. If you’re not quite ready to expose some flesh, fear not… you can still rock the trend with a Wolford body underneath.

It’s so flattering with the nipped in waist and structured skirt. These gorgeous metallic Miu Miu sandals will see me through the season, and I just couldn’t resist this Benoit Missolin leopard print headband… it’s so fun!

This Emma Cook cotton sun dress is really getting me in the mood for Spring. Coral is a big colour this season and I can’t get enough of it. The embroidered birds are just so pretty.

My Marc by Marc shoulder bag is so cute and goes with everything! 

This is the ultimate little black dress for Spring. I’m obsessed with everything Helmut Lang and just love this cool body con dress with mesh panelling. Every girl needs one!

You can team it with ankle boots or bright sandals, or go for a pair of nude Kurt Geiger stacked heels. To complete the look you’ll need some super cool sunnies by RetroSuperFuture and a studded Felder Felder cuff.
