Calling all Flower Girls…
Dust off those Liberty floral frocks and primp those curls, we have a fabulously flowery Liberty event coming up to celebrate Liberty’s summer of Flower Power. We particularly want you lovely ladies with flower names, so whether you are an 80 year old Rose, a 5 year old Poppy, an extrovert Daisy or a shrinking Violet, come on down to Carnaby Street to enjoy our Flower Power festival (all details will be revealed soon) and to be in with a chance of winning a Liberty print bicycle and glorious wreath of florals from Wild at Heart. Summer’s coming so save the date of 25th of May and watch this space…

Oh, I wish I could come!! I’m based in Berlin, but would love to frolick with my fellow flowers! Hope it’s a HOOT for all involved!
xx xx
My name means Tulip in Persian. I am persian, I have an indian surname because my race fled to india under prosectution but we kept our culture, religion and traditions and are known as Parsee’s in india (people from persia) so we all have indian surnames.
My parents adapted the spelling of my name, as I was born here in Engalnd and they wanted to ensure it was pronounced correctly and easily. So Lyla, is an adaption from the Persian Lelah, meaning Tulip, or Black tulip, which I am named after.
Please can I come to the flower girl event pretty please?
Would love to come to the event! The name susan is ‘lotus or lily’ in Persian. The first time I discovered this was when I was dancing in NYC and my director, Yuriko, a famous Graham dancer, informed me of the meaning. When I performed with the company…my Mother in turn sent me lilies for the performance.
WISH I COULD BE THERE – BUT I AM GOING TO ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL PLACE ‘ THE FLOWER CITY ‘ WHERE ALL THE HIPPIES USED TO HANG OUT IN THE 60′S; WHERE ELSE, BUT SAN FRANCISCO.
HAVE FUN.
CLEA MYLONAS (LONDON)
I literally HAVE to have a liberty print bicycle!! I’m also a Daisy… and extrovert!
Can’t wait.
really.
Does Yasmin count? It is the Arabic version of Jasmine, which is definitely a flower. Hopefully that counts!
i have double flower power so does that mean double the chance of winning? sounds like fun
I will be there in all my flowery glory!
Really looking forward to this, I’m a toddler called Iris!
My first name is Safeena, which shortened to Saf = Safflower! A bit of artistic license there.
Thankyou, that is really helpful info, cheers.
