Whisky and Fashion. Fashion and Whisky. In whichever order you choose to place your words – it makes a good combination. And that was the overwhelming opinion on Wednesday, when Liberty played host to the Esquire Masterclass in association with The Macallan.

Taking place in the menswear department, Esquire Magazine invited a selection of readers to sample the atmosphere, which included discount promotions and complimentary drinks courtesy of The Macallan, the award-winning single malt. The Macallan, admired by discerning whisky drinkers worldwide, were on hand with their Fine Oak range – providing specialist tasting sessions and expert tips.

The journey from novice to connoisseur wasn’t just confined to whisky-indulged taste buds though, as sartorial tailoring counsel was the complementary theme of the evening. The design team behind the Liberty of London menswear range provided exclusive insights into the collection, whilst dishing out top styling tips. Nick Hart, of bespoke menswear tailor Spencer Hart, was also on hand to offer elegant fashion advice. Not to forget Murdock Barbers, who, from their own concession in Liberty menswear, were available with their own unique brand of male grooming.
