We’d like to introduce you to Lissa Cook. Lissa’s job used to be producing radio documentaries, until last summer she was struck by a sudden inspiration whilst picnicking in the park with her friend Jo and god-daughter Tilly. She remembered how special she felt wearing the dresses her mother made for her as a child, and realised that there was a gap in the market for good quality, handmade little girls’ dresses.

Lissa already had all the necessary knowledge of dressmaking – her mother was a professional dress designer and had taught her to sew from her early childhood. So she decided to set up shop from her home in the Peak District, selling handmade little girls’ clothes online from her website, www.peakprincess.co.uk.

Lissa chose to use only Liberty’s cotton fabrics for her creations because the prints are timeless and fresh, not to mention very much in fashion at the moment! She said “as a dress-maker, Tana Lawn is a pleasure to work with and as a designer the prints are bold and beautiful.”

The gorgeous range of girls’ clothes at Peak Princess are all beautifully made and lined with lightweight cotton. There’s a choice of four cute floral prints in Tana Lawn cotton so you can choose between the Wiltshire, Millie, Ros or Tatum prints when you order a dress. Lissa makes all the clothes herself, so you know the design is truly exclusive, original and personal, not something that anyone could pick up on the high street. We love what Lissa’s doing and we’re sure you will too, just look how cute the clothes are!

  1. The kid on that image is very cute. I think she will look better if she fits that dress she is wearing.
