Teo Cabanel
The first Téo Cabanel fragrances were created by French doctor and chemist Théodore Cabanel in Algeria in 1893. His first fragrances were exquisite colognes used on handkerchiefs by European visitors in the undeveloped country who were not used to the pungent scents of north African villages and markets.
The trend caught on and was brought back to Europe along with Cabanel, who moved to Paris, where he met the Duchess of Windsor and became her favourite perfumier.
Currently Téo Cabanel is only available to buy in store at Liberty London, Regent Street. Please call 020 7734 1234 or email customerservices@liberty.co.uk for further information.
