Stock Controller, full time, 12 month contract
We are looking for a Stock Controller to co-ordinate the implementation of all relevant systems, processes and perpetual inventory checks to maintain the accuracy of the company stock file and minimise stock loss. Support the retail operations and merchandising teams in the accurate processing of stock transactions.
You will be responsible for:
Stocktaking Procedures & Processes
In conjunction with Retail Operations, review the existing perpetual inventory programme and identify and implement relevant improvements
Support Retail Operations in the planning of stock counts and ensure the physical counts are efficient and accurate
Periodic attendance at stock counts to ensure procedures are being followed in practice
Liaise with external warehouses to ensure that agreed stock takes are carried out and differences investigated. Carry out checks on the accuracy of these counts. Identify and implement relevant improvements to process
Follow up adverse stocktaking results to identify causes and recommend improvements to procedures and processes
Authorise all adjustments to stock ledger
