Manolo has returned to Liberty!

He's back! Shoe maestro Manolo Blahnik has returned to Liberty with an exclusive new home for his exquisite shoe collection opening February 13th on the second floor of the store.

With a career spanning over 30 years, Manolo Blahnik has become the world’s most influential footwear designer. Manolo is a craftsman; the exquisitely shaped lasts and heels he creates for his shoes are still perfected with his very own hands. The lines and silhouettes of his distinctive designs remain instantly recognisable as unique, inimitable exercises in precision and balance, exquisite workmanship and luxury.

For spring/summer 2012 Manolo Blahnik presented an exciting new heel. From a single, perfectly round silver sphere, which imitates a kitten heel to a high heel, made of six vertically stacked balls which amount to a high heel. The inspiration for the collection is varied, exciting and reflective of Manolo’s brilliant mind. Henri Matisse and his bright, contrasting colours and fluid shapes had a strong influence on this collection.

Manolo’s classic styles also have a few newcomers. Due to popular demand the SEDARABY d’orsay pump [which shot to fame in the first Sex + The City film] is now part of the permanent collection and available at Liberty in black, silver and red satin, coquettish blue and white polka dot print linen and an exclusive Liberty print. The pointy court shoe BB has a new sister called BBR which has a rounded toe and a more set back squared heel which Liberty will have in a rainbow of colours to reflect spring summer 2012’s vibrant mood. CAMPARI the now infamous Mary Jane, - considered by many footwear aficionados to be the world’s best-designed shoe – is back at Liberty and available in black, nude and signature purple.
