This autumn Liberty launches a new and highly innovative collection of fabrics, fusing the compelling work of six established British artists with the innovative creations from the Liberty Design Studio.

Anj Smith creates paintings which are mainly executed on a small scale and are highly detailed. Her works often incorporate references to the realms of fashion, nature and popular culture. For Liberty she has created a design entitled Detritus inspired by the memory of her mothers’ kitchen curtains which featured lordly stags’ heads.
